The Art of Living Foundation and the United Nations Millennium Campaign are coming together for a unique program to inspire the planting of a hundred million trees around the world between 15th July and 16th October, 2008. One of the important goalsof the United Nations Millenium Campaign is to create a sustainable environment. This year's Stand Up Take Action campaign is a significant step in this direction.
In 2007, Stand Up & Speak Out was a worldwide call-to-action to make poverty history and to meet the
United Nations Millennium Development Goals. On October 16th 2007 volunteers of the Art of Living Foundation inspired millions of people to participate in this global event and endores Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's commitment to the Millennium Development Goals. |
